Its that time of year again, a time to reflect on joyous splender which exhumed our tiresome bodies amidst the onslaught of living, a time when we grob our pen, paper and scale and begin our intricate plot.
What’s the plan? Operation New Year’s Resolution. We sit for hours contemplating our plan of change as we reflect on the downfalls of 2012 and all the years before it. But has the whole idea of a “New Year’s Resolution” become nothing but a vague pronouncement on everyone’s lips as they follow the trends of society.
Think about it, everybody has one whether it be because of self conviction or they’re just going with the tide.
Regardless of the celebratory mood charged by hiked up and discounted Christmas goods we must take time out to remember those who will be going through sad and depressing episodes, all those who missed their weight loss goal, those who are crying as they watch the NBA on a 30 inch screen as they missed the Black Friday sale and most of all we must remember the disenfranchised that can only afford to have three games for their Xbox and must take time to remember them as they navigate the harsh cold 2012 winter with only Madden 2010.
(I can hear the 2013 and 2014 New Year’s Resolutions now; Xbox games, minus 20 pounds a new tv)
New Year’s Resolution, everyone has one some more serious than others, what’s yours?
